NEW DELHI, AUGUST 19, 2017: Aimed at further consolidating its position in the Indian smartphone market, Panasonic India has launched power-packed smartphones — Eluga A3 and Eluga A3 Pro — that comes loaded with ARBO – the virtual assistant. Priced at Rs.11,290 and Rs.12,790 respectively, the two new entrants are loaded with a host of exciting features and latest hardware.

Launching the smartphones, Panasonic President and CEO (India and South Asia) Manish Sharma said: “We believe our in-house developed artificial intelligence (AI)-based virtual assistant- ARBO which will be a key differentiator. Today, software’s comprising applications and user-interface (UI) have become the deciding factor to upgrade yourself to the next level of technology. The evolution of technology software has opened endless opportunities. Customers will continue to look for technology which will shape the product interface and the way we interact with our smartphones.”

“Mobile phones play a major role in today’s life. One cannot imagine their life without mobile. Panasonic wants to create better life and better world with more intelligent products. We will further continue to invest in manufacturing and developmental capabilities. We work on the principle of reliability and ease of operations,” he added.

Panasonic India Business Head (Mobility Division) Pankaj Rana said: “Further to the positive response of Eluga Ray series, we are happy to introduce two more powerful smartphones in the Eluga portfolio. With the new improved features and enhanced quality the user will be able to do so much more. Our AI Assistant-ARBO will track and understand all your activities and help you make a schedule so that you don’t miss out on anything from your daily routine.”

“We are revamping our complete line up in India. In next 40-45 days, Panasonic will launch 11 new smartphones to prepare for the Diwali season. There will be huge marketing campaigning in next 40-45 days to increase the sales. 360 degree marketing approach will be used,” he added.

Panasonic has also signed Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu as its new brand ambassador for smartphone business, in addition to Varun Dhawan. The company also presented their new brand campaign — “So Much To Do” — for the Eluga product series.

Besides offline mode of sales, Panasonic will also concentrate on their online channels to increase sales and will launch entry-level smartphones at a attractive price range in next six months for customers who want to upgrade from feature phones to smartphones.


Eluga A3 and Eluga A3 Pro has a full-metal body design with a fingerprint scanner, ‘Ambient’ light and ‘Accelerometer’.

A3 Pro and A3 has a superb 5.2 inch’ full HD display with Asahi Dragon Trial glass and a thin bezel for a better visual experience.

It runs on an Android 7.0 (Nougat) with Panasonic in-house ARBO assistant.

In the optics section, the new smartphones has 13MP PDAF Rear camera with LED Flash and 8 MP Front camera for the perfect selfies.

The Eluga is backed up by a massive 4000 mAh Battery and supports Dual SIM, VoLTE and OTG support.

A3 Pro has a 1.3 Ghz Octa-core Mediatek Processor, MT 6753 while A3 has 1.25 GHz Quad-Core Mediatek Processor, MT6737.

A3 Pro has 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory, expandable up to 128 GB. A3 supports 3GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory which is expandable up to 128 GB.
